Born in 1939 in Rome, Italy, Romano comes to Canada in 1966 and settles down in Montreal.

Passionnate about painting and drawing since his childhood, he creates his first paintings when he is only 8 years old. Self-taught, he is inspired by the style of Claude Monet and Paul Cézanne, 2 french painters he admires dearly. Although he is influenced by impressionism, he develops and masters a technique that brings him a greater liberty of expression.

After having exposed his paintings in Rome for many years, he shows his work in Montreal for the first time in 1969 and expands his territory little by little. Since then, he has been around the world and has been exposing his art and selling it all over America as well as Europe.

His last exposition, Roma...Eternal city, was presented at the Leonardo Da Vinci center in 2008 in Saint-Leonard.
